I am sure Mark Zuckerberg has a roadmap to the Metaverse he is building, but from an outside perspective, it is very murky. He invested a lot of money and effort into the VR headset; just now, they announced releasing the “open source?” Meta Horizon OS.
In the message, they stated “opening up,” but what does it mean? “Open source”? I am not sure what is going on. In my mind, the Metaverse is UGC (user-generated content); it is all about games and democratizing making games.
What is Mark doing? I am not sure.
