I got a wireless #headset as a present: #stellseries ARCTIS NOVA PRO WIRELESS. TLDR; really good headset, but mic quality is mediocre.
Headset has a base station, and you can charge a battery in it. The headset comes with two batteries, so you never going to be out of juice. While you are using one battery, the other one is charging in the base station.
Base stations have a volume knob and you can also do EQ, enable/disable noise cancellation, mic volume, all of this things also you can do from the headphones.
The range is good, I can go downstairs to the kitchen with no problems. It is on radio, and also has a Bluetooth option.
Quite comfortable, I used them yesterday for the whole day.
The sound quality is acceptable. I am not picky though. I think I am not.
The dual battery solution is genius. Plus, battery life is really good.
The mic is retractable, which is convenient, because more often you use the headset as only headphones.
Headset has a mute button, very easy to find, plus the mic has red LED, then mic is muted. You can monitor your voice and the volume adjustable, and you can disable monitoring. Unfortunately, monitoring volume is independent of the master volume and far away in the settings.
I am really really sad about the mic quality. Why not invest a little bit to make the mic quality better? Make headsets $50 more expensive, but give better mic quality. Why?! I just do not understand. #smh The mic has a huge DC offset, and it eats all low frequencies.
Very nice present, also expensive.
