My first interactions with Bing Chat were quite terrible. As an example, I asked if cherries are blooming right now. It kept telling me it is an AI and cannot know, so I asked it to search on the internet. It said cherries are blooming and gave me a proof link which was pointing to a post from one year ago. I asked specifically if cherries are blooming in Descanso Gardens, it replied: “bla-bla I am an AI model and cannot know.” However, the Descanso Gardens website has a section called “What’s in Bloom” and the very first post has the #cherryblossoms hashtag.
