About a year ago, I bought 20 64GB USB flash drives for $150. It was a terrible deal in any terms; my thinking was that I could backup data and use the sharpie to mark the disks. What I learned is that they are very slow; it took about 8 hours to transfer data. So, they were sitting in the drawer for a year. I thought if I made a RAID array, it might be faster. So, I put 7 USB disks in a RAID5 arrangement, and it’s still slow. Any ideas on how I can recover the money?
