The COVID-19 pandemic did not end. We should accept that fact. At the beginning of 2020, the world changed, and as a humanity, we failed to stop it. We had a chance to contain it, but now we need to accept it as a fact of life.

We cannot deny the reality that more and more people will die, and the quality of life for many will be ruined by COVID-19. It’s time to change our attitude and adapt to this new reality. We should start making remote work and remote study the primary option for companies and schools. Social gatherings and air travel should no longer be considered leisure activities.

We need to change our social norms to make it unacceptable to come to work sick. We should start taking action now, or else more people will die, and more will become disabled. The world has changed, and we cannot turn back the clock.

While research is ongoing, it is not well-funded, and it will take years to find effective treatments. In the meantime, we must learn to live with COVID-19 and take necessary precautions to mitigate its impact. By working together and embracing this new reality, we can find ways to minimize its effects and build a more resilient future.
